Pakistan International Airlines touches down in Mashhad from Lahore

On 25 February, Lahore Airport celebrated the launch of Pakistan international Airlines’ service to the holy city of Mashhad, which will be operated twice-weekly via Quetta.

  • Pakistan International Airlines, the national flag carrier and a state-owned enterprise of the Government of Pakistan, launched its first service to Iran with the addition of the 1,460-kilometre sector between Lahore (LHE) and Mashhad (MHD) on 25 February. The new service will be operated twice-weekly (Tuesdays and Sundays) via Quetta, utilising the airline’s 118-seat 737-700s and will face direct competition from Shaheen Air’s weekly flight.
