Alitalia resumes Milan flights to Polish capital

  • Alitalia has resumed service between Milan Linate (LIN) and Warsaw Chopin (WAW), a route the Italian flag-carrier last operated on 20 September 2009. On 30 March the airline began flying the 1,140-kilometre route once more, with four weekly flights, operated with a mix of aircraft. No other carrier operates this airport pair but LOT Polish Airlines offers thrice-daily flights between Milan Malpensa and Warsaw Chopin, Wizz Air flies twice-weekly between Milan Bergamo and Warsaw Chopin, and Ryanair operates four time weekly between Milan Bergamo and Warsaw Modlin. Alitalia already serves the Polish capital from Rome Fiumicino with daily flights.
