Dragonair replaces Cathay Pacific Airways on Penang route
- Dragonair has replaced Cathay Pacific Airways in serving the Hong Kong (HKG) to Penang (PEN) market. On 30 March it began operating 10 times weekly flights on the 2,410-kilometre route to Malaysian island, using A330-300s. Competition is provided by HK Express which operates daily on the route with A320s. Penang’s capital, Georgetown, is steeped in history and has achieved World Heritage Site status for its distinctive architecture. Next month will see Dragonair also launch flights to the island of Bali.
