Japan Airlines adds two more international routes from Haneda
- Japan Airlines has added two more international destinations from Tokyo Haneda (HND), Japan’s busiest airport. The addition of daily flights to Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) and London Heathrow (LHR) on 30 March brings to 12 the number of international destinations now served non-stop by the oneworld carrier from the airport. There is no direct competition on the 4,320-kilometre route to Ho Chi Minh City, which is operated by a 767-300, though All Nippon Airways, Japan Airlines and Vietnam Airlines all operate daily flights from Tokyo Narita. On the 9,615-kilometre Heathrow route, operated by the airline’s 777-300s, there is direct competition from British Airways (six weekly flights) and All Nippon Airways (daily flights), with additional indirect competition coming from British Airways and Virgin Atlantic’s daily flights between Tokyo Narita and London Heathrow.
