Jetstar Asia replaces Jetstar Airways on Singapore-Darwin

  • Jetstar Asia has taken over responsibility for operating daily A320 flights on the Singapore (SIN) to Darwin (DRW) route, previously operated by sister airline Jetstar Airways. The airline will face competition on the 3,340-kilometre route from SilkAir, which operates four weekly flights. This new service, launched on 30 March, is Jetstar Asia’s first new non-stop route in almost two years. Its last new destination was Nanning in China (in April 2012), but the operation lasted less than a year.
