Volaris launches new base at Monterrey Airport

  • Volaris launched a new base at Monterrey (MTY) on 28 March. The Mexican LCC started eight new domestic routes over a period of three days, adding to the three routes it already operated from the airport. All eight routes will initially be served with just two or three weekly flights, using the airline’s 174-seat A320s. All eight routes are already served by local LCC rival VivaAerobus, while Aeromexico and Interjet provide additional competition.
