- Far Eastern Air Transport has introduced a new domestic service in Taiwan. On 12 April it began operating twice-daily on the very short 125-kilometre sector between Taichung (RMQ) and Makung (MZG), located on the western side of Penghu Island, off Taiwan’s west coast. The airline’s MD-80s will operate the flights and face competition from Mandarin Airlines’ 16 weekly flights.
