Find out which airport left the competition drenched in the public vote for S14 week two ‘Arch of Triumph’

Bucharest Airport wins FTWA

Landslide victory for Bucharest Airport’s fire department. With 70% of the public vote, Romania’s busiest airport romped to an emphatic win in’s second ‘Arch of Triumph’ competition, celebrating the second week of the summer 2014 season.

Not content with claiming first and second position in the Cake of the Week vote, thanks to Bucharest Airport’s fire department, Ryanair can now add this week’s ‘Arch of Triumph’ win to the trophy cabinet. We don’t know how they did it, or would ever dream of asking, but Bucharest Airport’s fire crew drowned the competition by winning 70% of this week’s readers vote, blowing the closest opponent out of the water by more than 200 votes. Welcoming Ryanair’s new daily route from London Stansted, Romania’s busiest international airport clearly doesn’t need expert tuition from’s Editor Marc Watkins, although his training is now available at a very reasonable rate.
