TAP Portugal expands its presence in Brazil

TAP Portugal’s Lisbon to Belem and Manaus

On 3 June, TAP Portugal celebrated with this fantastic cake the opening of two new destinations in Brazil from Lisbon Airport, namely Manaus and Belem. Following the cake cutting, passengers on the inaugural flight received scarfs of Portugal’s football team.

  • TAP Portugal, the biggest carrier for European World Cup fans heading for Brazil, expanded its presence in the South American country with two new routes launched from its Lisbon (LIS) base on 3 June. The Star Alliance member inaugurated the 6,972-kilometre sector to Manaus (MAO) with thrice-weekly flights (Tuesdays, Fridays, Sundays), utilising its 268-seat A330-200s. Furthermore, these services continued to Belem (BEL). There is no competition on any of the two new airport pairs.
