Air Lituanica gets Malmö route started
On 17 June, Vilnius Airport celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony and again the famous panda bear from last week, the inaugural flight of Air Lituanica to Malmö in Sweden.
- Air Lituanica, which in the previous week added two services to Gothenburg and Billund, continued to expand its presence in the Scandinavian market with the launch of a new route from Vilnius (VNO) to Malmö (MMX) on 17 June. The 766-kilometre sector to the third largest city in Sweden will be served twice-weekly (Tuesdays and Fridays) until 29 August, utilising the carrier’s 77-seat E175. There is no competition on the new airport pair.
