starts its fifth new summer service to Fuerteventura from UK

  • has started its fifth new S14 route from UK airports (joining East Midlands, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford and Manchester) to Fuerteventura (FUE) this week, with the commencing of weekly (Tuesdays) flights from Newcastle (NCL). The 3,112-kilometre seasonal sector, which began on 24 June and will operate until 21 October, will face competition from Thomas Cook Airlines, which operates twice-weekly services. On 30 June, also began weekly (Mondays) operations from Edinburgh (EDI) to Reus (REU). The 1,679-kilometre seasonal route will face no direct competition and will be flown until 22 September. Both services are operated by 148-seat 737-300s.
