Spirit Airlines arrives at Kansas City with five routes
Spirit Airlines’ five new routes to Kansas City
The arrival of Spirit Airlines at Kansas City Airport was celebrated on 7 August with a ribbon cutting and a cake ceremony, which were held in Terminal C. Cutting the ribbon are: Mark Kopczak, VP Network Planning, Spirit; Mark VanLoh, Director of Aviation, Kansas City Aviation Department; and Justin Meyer, Deputy Director of Aviation Marketing and Air Service Development, Kansas City Aviation Department.
- Spirit Airlines, which in the previous week added two domestic routes, started serving Kansas City, MO (MCI) with five links, all of which are operated daily using its 145-seat A319s. With the longest sector being the 1,833-kilometre route from Las Vegas, NV (LAS), and the shortest being inaugurated from Chicago O’Hare, IL (ORD) at 649 kilometres, Spirit will face competition on all of the five new additions from United Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and Southwest Airlines. See how Kansas City Airport’s FTWA compares to the others sent in this week from around the world.
