US Airways adds Grand Rapids to its domestic network

On 2 September, Grand Rapids Airport celebrated with a special event in the terminal the launch of US Airways’ new routes to Charlotte Douglas and Philadelphia, with the latter having been launched the following day. Both airport pairs are served daily utilising Air Wisconsin’s CRJ 200s.

  • US Airways, which merged with American Airlines last year, started operating from Grand Rapids, MI (GRR) with two new routes, both of which are served twice-daily using Air Wisconsin’s 50-seat CRJ 200s. Firstly, the oneworld member commenced flights to Charlotte Douglas, NC (CLT) on 2 September; while on the following day, it inaugurated the 922-kilometre sector to Philadelphia, PA (PHL). US Airways will face no competition on either of the two airport pairs. See how Grand Rapids Airport’s FTWA compares to the others sent in this week from around the world.
