Malindo Air starts shortest route

  • Malindo Air has added a further domestic route from its Kuala Lumpur Subang (SZB) base. On 3 October the LCC began thrice-weekly flights (Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays) on the very short 167-kilometre route to Ipoh (IPH). The service will be operated by the airline’s ATR 72-600s and will not face any direct competition. This brings to 10 the number of destinations served by Malindo Air this winter from Kuala Lumpur’s downtown airport; eight to other destinations in Malaysia, plus Batam in Indonesia and Krabi in Thailand. Malindo Air will be adding two further routes to Ipoh in the coming weeks. Despite launching just 18 months ago, Malindo Air will this winter operate over 850 weekly flights across a network of over 30 routes.
