Amaszonas expands with services to Oruro, Iquique and Yacuiba

  • Amaszonas expanded its South American offering with the addition of an array of new routes on 8 October, all of which are served utilising its 50-seat CRJ 200s. First of all, the second largest carrier of Bolivia, commenced operations on the domestic sector from Santa Cruz (VVI) to Oruro (ORU) with four weekly flights. Secondly, the airline commenced twice-weekly flights on the 829-kilometre sector from Santa Cruz (VVI) to Iquique (IQQ) in Chile, served via Oruro (ORU). Finally, the carrier launched daily flights on the 462-kilometre sector from Santa Cruz (VVI) to Yacuiba (BYC). Amaszonas will face direct competition only on the Santa Cruz-Iquique airport pair from LAN Airlines’ thrice-weekly operations.
