germanwings still completing Lufthansa route transition
germanwings is still assuming responsibility for some of its parent’s previous operations, taking over the service betweenDüsseldorf(DUS) and Vienna (VIE) on 8 October. The 790-kilometre sector will be operated by the airline’s 168-seat A320s on an 18 times weekly basis. Competition on the city pair is robust, with airberlin flying 34 times weekly and Austrian Airlines offering double-daily connections. This brings to six the number of destinations served by germanwings from Vienna, the others being Berlin Tegel, Cologne Bonn, Hamburg, Hannover and Stuttgart.
