RusLine starts Murmansk operation from Moscow

  • RusLine will add Murmansk (MMK) to its route network, commencing operations on 13 October from Moscow Domodedovo (DME). Competition on the 1,514-kilometre sector will come from Transaero Airlines, which starts its own operations three days earlier, utilising its 122-seat 737-500s thrice-weekly on the city pair. By comparison the Moscow-headquartered RusLine will operate its 50-seat CRJ 200s six times weekly. According to Planespotters.net the regional carrier has 18 of these aircraft – the only type in its fleet. In addition to Transaero’s directly competing services, Nordadvia flies from Murmansk thrice-daily to Moscow Sheremetyevo, with UTair offering daily services to Moscow Vnukovo.
