Peruvian Airlines enters Bolivia from Lima

  • Peruvian Airlines added its first route to Bolivia on 15 October, when it commenced daily flights from Lima (LIM) to La Paz (LPB). The 1,105-kilometre sector is operated via Cuzco (CUZ) in Peru, utilising the airline’s 122-seat 737-700s. However, the new 521-kilometre link from Cuzco to La Paz is flown by Amaszonas with five weekly flights; while, Peruvian will face direct competition on the Lima-La Paz airport pair from Avianca and LAN Airlines’ daily services. The Peruvian market is analysed in more detail in this week’s country feature.
