Vueling jumps into Air France void on Rome-Marseille

  • Vueling started flights between Rome Fiumicino (FCO) and Marseille (MRS) on 17 October, jumping into a market which is being left open by the withdrawal of Air France on the city pair on 25 October. Initially, the LCC will fly the 604-kilometre airport pair on a low-frequency basis until 26 October when it will start daily operations with its 180-seat A320s. The same day, both Alitalia and easyJet will start daily services on the same sector. The Fiumicino services will join Vueling’s existing six times weekly operation from Barcelona into Marseille.
