Jetstar Japan adds Kumamoto to network

Jetstar Japan CEO Miyuki Suzuki was on hand (along with the Jetstar Japan mascot) to celebrate the launch of services from three of the airline’s bases to Kumamoto on the island of Kyushu on 26 October. All three routes will be served twice-daily with its A320s.

  • Jetstar Japan has added Kumamoto (KMJ) to its domestic network with the launch on 26 October of services from Nagoya Chubu (NGO), Osaka Kansai (KIX) and Tokyo Narita (NRT). Kumamoto is located on the southern Japanese island of Kyushu. All three routes will be served twice-daily by the airline’s A320s. Although only the Nagoya Chubi route will face direct competition, there is considerable indirect competition on the other two routes.
