Horses for courses. On 26 October Nok Air began twice-daily flights from Bangkok Don Mueang to Lampang in north-west Thailand using its recently acquired Q400s. Lampang is famous for its horse-drawn carriages that still operate in the town as a regular means of transportation.
- Nok Air has used its recently acquired Q400s to start a new double-daily service between Bangkok Don Mueang (DMK) and Lampang (LPT) in the north-west of the country. The first flight on this 497-kilometre sector took place on Sunday 26 October. Lampang is famous for the horse-drawn carriages that still operate in the town. There is no direct competition on the route, but Bangkok Airways operates thrice-daily flights to Lampang from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi. This winter, Nok Air will be serving 24 destinations from Bangkok Don Mueang, operating 91 daily departures from the airport.
