Vote for the best of 10 Fire Truck Water Arches; Winter Season Launches Part 1
Unless you have been living on a tropical island with just Tom Hanks for company, most of you will know that this week heralds the start of the W14/15 season ‒ see our detailed analysis here. The start of the W14/15 season sees a lot of the world’s airports pulling out all of the stops in terms of new route marketing ‒ and that also means lots of new route cakes ‒ see our Cake of the Week vote here. But it also means a lot of Fire Truck Water Arches (FTWAs). So for the second time ever (the first being for S14), we give you, the reader, the chance to select the best of the 10 FTWAs we have been sent from the world’s airports. The victory will have the accolade of winning a peer-endorsed, reader vote for the prestigious ‘Arch of Triumph’ award rather than what we do in a ‘normal week’ when anna.aero’s four elite water arch judges decide. N.B. The airport names which are underlined are the creators of the FTWAs in question. Keep voting!!
Vote for the best Fire Truck Water Arch (FTWA) (see pictures below)
Water Arch 1 – Aer Lingus Dublin to Leeds Bradford
Water Arch 2 – Brussels Airlines Brussels to Riga
Water Arch 3 – easyJet Geneva to Reykjavik/Keflavik
Water Arch 4 – Emirates Dubai to Budapest
Water Arch 5 – eurolot Warsaw Chopin to Zagreb
Number 8 couldn’t possibly be the best – the ‘water jets’ don’t even meet or go high enough. Got to be Budapest [number 4] terrific arch. Number 8 had to be ‘packed’ by locals voting. Scrap the voting if you allow that to stand, it makes a mockery of the competition.
I agree with Anthony – but maybe No.8 is actually putting out a fire!
