Malindo Air becomes seventh carrier linking Kuala Lumpur and Singapore

Malindo Air has arrived in Singapore. The fast growing Malaysian LCC (part-owned by Indonesia’s Lion Air) began operating thrice-daily flights on Monday 3 November.   • Malindo Air entered one of the world’s most competitive air routes when it began thrice-daily 737-900 flights on 3 November between Kuala Lumpur (KUL) and Singapore (SIN). The 296-kilometre route is already served by AirAsia (73 weekly flights), Malaysia Airlines (66), SilkAir (52), Tigerair Singapore (27), Jetstar Asia (25) and Singapore Airlines (17). This becomes Malindo Air’s 15th destination from Kuala Lumpur Sepang, from where it launched flights in March 2013.
