germanwings starts Sabiha Gökçen service from Düsseldorf

  • germanwings has started its first Turkish service from Düsseldorf (DUS) this week, beginning operations to Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) on 4 November. Flying twice-weekly (Tuesdays and Saturdays), the 2,078-kilometre sector will be operated by a variety of equipment. The Lufthansa off-shoot company, will face some stiff competition, directly on the airport pair from Pegasus Airlines (double-daily) and Turkish Airlines (daily), as well as indirectly into Istanbul Atatürk, again from Turkish Airlines (four times daily) and Onur Air (daily).
