Jet Airways’ Delhi to Ho Chi Minh City
Jet Airways made Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam its 22nd international destination when it introduced daily flights from Delhi (via Bangkok) on 5 November using its 737-800s. A red carpet welcomed passengers checking in for the first return flight.
- Jet Airways launched two new international services last week. On 5 November the carrier began daily flights from Delhi (DEL) to Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) in Vietnam, its first service to that country. The 3,652-kilometre route is operated by the airline’s 737-800s via Bangkok in both directions and faces no competition. Ho Chi Minh City thus becomes the airline’s 22nd international destination. On the same day the Indian carrier began a five times weekly service between Kochi (COK) and Dubai (DXB) also using 737-800s. The 2,784-kilometre route is already served by Emirates (twice-daily), Air India Express (daily), IndiGo (daily), SpiceJet (daily) and flydubai (thrice-weekly). Jet Airways’ service frequency increases to daily from 9 December. It already serves Dubai from Mumbai (five daily flights), Delhi (two daily flights) and Mangalore (daily flights).
