Air Europa makes Ouarzazate its first Moroccan route from Madrid

  • Air Europa started its second African route on 27 November, with Ouarzazate (OZZ) in Morocco joining its existing flights to Dakar in Senegal. Launched from its Madrid (MAD) hub, the 1,142-kilometre sector will be flown by Privilege Air’s (a Spanish ACMI specialist) 50-seat ERJ 145s. Operated on a twice-weekly basis (Thursdays and Sundays), there is no direct competition on this city pair. The only other scheduled services at the Moroccan airport this winter are operated by Royal Air Maroc; to Casablanca and Zagora in Morocco, and a weekly service to Paris Orly.
