Tigerair Philippines starts three new domestic routes

Celebrating the launch of Tigerair Philippines’ maiden flight from Manila to General Santos on 28 November were: Ms. Maureen Pilar Reloj, VP Inflights Services, Tigerair Philippines; Mr. Michael Shau, President & CEO, Tigerair Philippines; Capt. Rodel Nemesio Santiago; and Ms. Maria Luz Pangilinan, Director for Corporate Affairs, Tigerair Philippines. The airline will compete against its parent company Cebu Pacific Air as well as Philippine Airlines.

  • Tigerair Philippines, which is a now a fully-owned subsidiary of Cebu Pacific Air, began three new domestic routes in the Philippines last week. The shortest of these is the 200-kilometre flights between Cebu (CEB) and Cagayan de Oro (CGY), while the longest is the 1,036-kilometre link between Manila (MNL) and General Santos (GES). The airline will compete against its parent company on all three routes. Somewhat confusingly maybe, the launch flight between Manila and General Santos was operated by a Cebu Pacific aircraft.
