Amaszonas enters Uruguay with Montevideo service

On 11 December, Amaszonas celebrated with a special ceremony the introduction of its first service to Uruguay, when it commenced thrice-weekly operations from Santa Cruz to Montevideo via Asuncion. 

  • Amaszonas expanded its South American offering with the addition of its first service to Uruguay on 11 December, when it commenced thrice-weekly (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) flights to Montevideo (MVD) from Santa Cruz (VVI) via Asuncion in Paraguay. The carrier will be flying its 50-seat CRJ 200s on the 2,031-kilometre sector to the capital and largest city of Uruguay, a route not served by any other carrier. See how Montevideo Airport’s FTWA compares to others from around the world.
