On 15 December, IndiGo started its seventh airport pair to Dubai, this time from Bengaluru with daily flights.
- IndiGo, India’s #1 domestic airline that passed 70 million passengers since its launch, introduced its seventh route to Dubai (DXB) on 15 December, from Bengaluru (BLR). The 2,696-kilometre sector, which is already flown by Emirates’ thrice-daily flights, will be served daily by the airline’s 180-seat A320s. IndiGo already serves Dubai from Delhi and Mumbai (both twice-daily) as well as Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram, all with daily flights. An eighth Indian airport, Kozhikode, will also get non-stop Dubai flights starting in early January. Indigo first started serving Dubai in September 2011 and is one of only five international destinations currently served by the airline. It is the only one served from more than one Indian airport as Bangkok (Kolkata), Kathmandu (Delhi), Muscat (Mumbai) and Singapore (Chennai) are each only served from one of the airline’s bases.
