Indonesia AirAsia has added two new routes to its network portfolio. On 28 January it added four times weekly flights on the 1,685-kilometre route between Jakarta (CGK) and Kota Kinabalu (BKI) in Malaysia. These complement the thrice-weekly flights already offered by AirAsia. The following day the carrier added thrice-weekly flights (Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays) on the 1,234-kilometre route between Solo (SOC) and Singapore (SIN). No other carrier serves this route. Both routes will be operated by the airline’s 180-seat A320s. For the AirAsia Group of airlines Singapore is now the third busiest airport, as revealed in our recent analysis.
