Flower celebration in Delhi. The crew of the inaugural twice-weekly Transaero Airlines service from Moscow Vnukovo were welcomed to the Indian capital with a beautiful floral tribute.
- Transaero Airlines has added a twice-weekly (Thursdays and Saturdays) service from its Moscow Vnukovo (VKO) hub to the Indian capital city of Delhi (DEL). While there is no direct competition, the 276-seat, 767-300-operated city pair will see the carrier face opposition from Air India (four times weekly from Moscow Domodedovo) and Aeroflot (daily from Moscow Sheremetyevo). The 4,352-kilometre sector began on 5 February. Transaero operates a second Indian route, a four times weekly service from Moscow Domodedovo to Goa using its 777s. Maybe surprisingly these four routes are the only current scheduled services between Russia and India. See how Delhi Airport’s FTWA compares to others from around the world.
