Arik Air enters the Ivory Coast with Abidjan route

On 16 February, Arik Air introduced its first service to the Ivory Coast with the addition of four weekly flights from Lagos to Abidjan, which are operated via the existing Cotonou route.

  • Arik Air, the privately-owned airline operating mainly from Lagos and Abuja airports to a total of 12 countries, entered the Ivory Coast country market on 16 February with a new service from Lagos (LOS) to Abidjan (ABJ) operated via its existing Cotonou route. The 818-kilometre sector will be served four times weekly utilising a mixed fleet of the airline’s 85-seat CRJ 900s and 131-seat 737-700s. This sector is already served directly by Air Cote D’Ivoire and Camair-Co, both with thrice-weekly flights.
