This yummy cake was baked to commemorate the start of Iraqi Airways’ latest UK destination ‒ Manchester – on 15 March. Cutting the cake were: Saad Alkhafaji, GM Iraqi Airways; Charlie Cornish, CEO Manchester Airports Group; and Adnan Alshohani, Inspector General Iraqi Airways.
- Iraqi Airways, which already flies to London Gatwick in the UK, has added a weekly (Sundays) service to Manchester (MAN) from Sulaymaniyah (ISU) on 15 March. Operated by the Middle Eastern airline’s 737-800s, the 4,170-kilometre sector will face no direct competition. On 18 March, the carrier will launch a weekly service from Erbil to the Northern England airport.
