- EC Air, also known as Equatorial Congo Airlines, introduced two new routes to Dakar (DKR) in Senegal on 23 March, with thrice-weekly departures using its 148-seat 757-200s. The airline began operations from its Brazzaville (BZV) base to Dakar (DKR) via Bamako (BKO) in Mali. While the 4,224-kilometre sector from its base to the capital of Senegal is not served by any other carrier, the Bamako-Dakar link is operated intensively by four other airlines, namely Ethiopian Airlines (five times weekly), Kenya Airways (thrice-weekly), ASKY Airlines (twice-weekly) and Senegal Airlines (weekly).
