Celebrating Tigerair Philippines’ third domestic route from Cebu (to Puerto Princesa) are: GMR-Megawide Cebu Airport Corporation Terminal Operations Supervisor, Faith Michelle Marino; Tigerair Philippines Administration Manager, Rosanna Cruz; First Passenger to Check-in Winner; and GMR-Megawide Cebu Airport Corporation Terminal Operations Supervisor Yasmin Lambatan.
Ms. Sonia Tehon was the first passenger to check-in for the maiden Manila to Legazpi service with Tigerair Philippines on Sunday 29 March. She was rewarded with a free round-trip ticket by Mr. Eduardo C. Novillas, Director of Operations for Tigerair Philippines. Mount Mayon, an active volcano, makes an impressive backdrop for aircraft departing from Legazpi Airport.
- Tigerair Philippines, which is now a subsidiary of Cebu Pacific Air, has launched five times weekly flights between Cebu (CEB) and Puerto Princesa (PPS). Service on the 573-kilometre route began on Monday 30 March. Competition, of sorts, is provided by Cebu Pacific which already operates the route with 13 weekly flights. In addition, the day before Tigerair Philippines also started a new domestic route between Manila (MNL) and Legazpi (LGP). The 328-kilometre route is already served by Cebu Pacific (17 weekly flights) and Philippine Airlines (13 weekly flights).
