Firstly, the Star Alliance carrier introduced twice-weekly (Wednesdays and Fridays) flights on the 2,338-kilometre sector from Larnaca (LCA) to Munich (MUC) on 1 April, a route flown by Lufthansa (thrice-weekly) and Germania (weekly.) Secondly, on 4 April, Aegean started weekly (Saturdays) departures from Heraklion (HER) to Stuttgart (STR), a service that will see a frequency increase to twice-weekly from 16 June. This sector is already operated by germanwings (twice-weekly) and Condor (weekly).
