On 9 April, Jacksonville Airport celebrated the first flight of Silver Airways to Pensacola, a sector served five times weekly by the airline’s Saab 340s. Passengers on the inaugural flight were delighted with sweets and cookies from the Floridian gateway.
- Silver Airways expanded its Floridian offering from Jacksonville (JAX) with the addition of Pensacola (PNS) on 9 April. The carrier commenced five weekly departures, utilising its 34-seat Saab 340s, on the 526-kilometre route, a sector that is not served by any other airline. Silver Airways is also connecting Jacksonville to Tampa, Fort Lauderdale and Marsh Harbour.
