YANAIR expands Georgian offering with Batumi flights

On 5 May, Batumi Airport marked the arrival of YANAIR’s twice-weekly flights from Odessa. Passengers on the inaugural flight were welcomed with a cocktail party in the terminal by the executives of TAV Georgia and YANAIR.

  • YANAIR, the Ukraine regional airline that operates a fleet of two Saab 340s and a single A320, expanded its presence in the Georgian market with the addition of twice-weekly (Tuesdays and Saturdays) flights from Odessa (ODS) to Batumi (BUS). The 1,022-kilometre sector, which is not served by any other carrier, was inaugurated on 5 May utilising the airline’s 33-seat Saab 340s. YANAIR, which entered the Georgian market last year, will renew direct flights from Ukraine’s capital Kiev to Tbilisi and Batumi airports during the summer season.
