Air Canada rouge adds second Italian route from Montreal

On 14 May, Venice Marco Polo Airport celebrated with a special ceremony in the terminal (that included a cake and a ribbon cutting) the start of Air Canada rouge’s second route to Italy, this time to Venice Marco Polo.

  • Air Canada rouge, the new venture leisure airline from Air Canada that was launched in July 2013, introduced its second route to Italy from Montreal (YUL) on 14 May, this time to Venice Marco Polo (VCE). The 6,354-kilometre sector will be served twice-weekly (Thursdays and Saturdays), utilising the airline’s 280-seat 767-300s. Air Canada rouge is already operating to Italy from Montreal with five weekly departures to Rome Fiumicino. Air Transat with weekly flights provides direct competition on the new sector.
