Czech Airlines expands European network with two new routes

On 21 May, Prague Airport celebrated the addition of Czech Airlines’ twice-weekly flights to Stavanger in Norway, a sector not served by any other carrier. Celebrating with a glass of champagne are: Martin Tatek, Route Development, Prague Airport; Jolana Hrebejkova, Route Development, Prague Airport; Jitka Kolarova, Marketing Manager, Czech Airlines; and Martin Randus, Airline Marketing, Prague Airport.

Services between Prague and Porto will operate twice-weekly on Mondays and Fridays. Celebrating the launch in Porto by cutting the cake are: Paula Barbosa, Porto Airport Marketing, and Eva Kadlecová, Czech Airlines Sales Manager.

  • Czech Airlines expanded its European network from its Prague (PRG) base with the addition of two new routes during the course of last week, both of which are flown by the SkyTeam member’s 144-seat A319s and will face no direct competition from any other carrier. On 21 May, the airline started twice-weekly flights (Thursdays and Sundays) to Stavanger (SVG) in Norway. Furthermore, on 22 May, it linked the Czech capital to Porto (OPO) with twice-weekly departures (Mondays and Fridays). This summer the national carrier will serve a total of 44 destinations from Prague, nine more than it did last summer.
