easyJet launches 10 new routes including first to Tunisia

easyJet Captain, Alasdair Thorogood, crew member Lisa Malone, and passenger Adam Doherty, celebrate the launch of the inaugural flight from Newcastle to Split. easyJet UK Regions Route Manager, Jennifer Groves, and Newcastle Airport’s Chris Sanders, also join them to celebrate the route launch with some traditional British dairy ice cream. Routes to Rhodes and Corfu were also launched from the north-east airport.

It was a double celebration in Porto this week with the launch of two new routes. Services will operate thrice-weekly to Luxembourg and twice-weekly to Stuttgart. Cutting the cake at both launches are: Paula Barbosa, and Márcia Canêdo, Porto Airport Marketing.

  • easyJet launched 10 new routes this week, starting on 2 June with new services between Newcastle (NCL) and Split (SPU). The new route will operate twice-weekly on Tuesday and Saturdays using A319s. The new city pairs vary in length, with the shortest being the new 756-kilometre route between Geneva (GVA) and Figari (FSC), while the longest is the 3,059-kilometre sector between Newcastle and Rhodes (RHO). Of the new routes, three will face direct competition according to OAG Schedules Analyser data.
