Airbus becomes main sponsor of anna.aero-Budapest Airport Runway Run!

A host of major Airbus users are embedded in the Runway Run including Wizz Air, airberlin, Aer Lingus as well as Emirates, Qatar Airways etc. 609 runners took part last year; 1,000 are targeted for 2015.

In a massive step of recognition for the importance of the anna.aero-Budapest Airport Runway Run as the leading sporting charity event for the global aviation industry, Airbus has stepped up as the main sponsor of the good causes. It will also send up to 12 runners to participate in the 10km race which takes place on Budapest Airport’s runway 13R-31L at 11.00 on Saturday 5 September 2015.

On this day, Budapest Airport will close one of its two runways for four hours so runners drawn from airlines, airports and enterprises across the aviation community can once again compete for a series of anna.aero-Budapest Airport “Golden Cake Trophies”, including the key team prize of “The Fastest Airline in the World” – a title currently held by the CEO-led Aer Lingus team.
