SkyGreece Airlines’ sole 767-300 arrives in Zagreb after receiving a traditional water arch salute. Flights to Toronto will operate weekly on Wednesdays. The seasonal services will be flown until 12 October.
- SkyGreece Airlines launched its first long-haul service from Zagreb (ZAG) on 24 June to Toronto Pearson (YYZ). Flights will operate weekly on the city pair each Wednesday. The seasonal 7,070-kilometre sector to Toronto becomes the first route to North America from the Croatian capital, and operates until 12 October. Commenting on the route announcement, Denis Codere, SkyGreece Airlines Deputy CCO, said: “We shared our vision with the Zagreb Tourist Board, the Croatian National Tourist Board and Zagreb Airport to make Canada closer to Croatia, and we were extremely happy with the openness and the enthusiasm they truly demonstrated in bringing Canadians to discover the beauty of Croatia. We can assure all Canadians that Croatia is waiting for you with its rich history, beautiful scenery, young and active population, trendy lifestyle and the beautiful Adriatic Sea to discover.” The route faces no direct competition.
