- flydubai started three routes in the last week from its Dubai (DXB) hub, its fifth to Pakistan and its 12th and 13th into Saudi Arabia. The daily service to Faisalabad (LYP) in Pakistan commenced on 10 July and is the airport’s first international service, with only domestic flights to Karachi operated by Pakistan International Airlines and Air Indus currently using the facility. On the same day the airline also began a daily route to Gizan (GIZ), followed by the start of a four times weekly service to Jouf (AJF) on 11 July, both cities being in Saudi Arabia. All three services face no direct competition and all are operated by the LCC’s ubiquitous 174-seat 737-800s. See how Faisalabad Airport’s FTWA compares to others from around the world.
