China Southern Airlines starts new routes to Russia and Vietnam
China Southern Airlines on 31 July began four times weekly flights on the 1,516-kilometre route between Shenzhen (SZX) and Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) in Vietnam. No other carrier currently operates this route. The following day the SkyTeam member began twice-weekly flights (Tuesdays and Saturdays) on the 528-kilometre route between Harbin (HRB) in north-east China and Vladivostok (VVO) in Russia. China Southern will operate this route until 10 October and face competition from Aeroflot, which also operates the route with twice-weekly flights. Both of these new routes will be served by China Southern’s A320 fleet.
