You’ve got until 24 August to sign-up to the Airbus-sponsored anna.aero-Budapest Airport Runway Run. This is a real deadline – the Budapest runway is obviously an airside area and everyone has to be security cleared! We’ve taken the BUD Run roadshow around the world – you’ve seen us at Routes Europe in Aberdeen; CONNECT in Kerry; IATA Slots in Vancouver; the ACI EUROPE Annual Congress in Prague; and even TFWA in Singapore – now it’s time to turn your promise into a concrete sign-up. The air transport industry’s own charity race takes place on Budapest Airport’s Runway 13R-31L on Saturday 5 September in aid of child cancer charities and other good causes. Teams and individuals from some 80 airlines, airports and other aviation enterprises have so far signed up for the event which offers two race lengths (5km = two runway lengths and 10km = four runway lengths), but there’s still time to secure your place.
