Gate 24 was the venue at Tokyo Narita Airport on 6 August for celebrating the launch of Xiamen Airlines’ new service to Xiamen. The new four times weekly service will compete with All Nippon Airways’ existing daily service.
- Xiamen Airlines has launched another new international routes using its 787-8s. After the recent start of services to Amsterdam, the Chinese carrier has now added Tokyo Narita (NRT) to its network with the introduction of four times weekly flights (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays) from Xiamen (XMN) in south-east China. Competition on the 2,467-kilometre service, which began on 6 August, will come from All Nippon Airways’ daily service. Xiamen Airlines’ 787-8s are configured with four full-flat seats in first class, 18 seats in business class and 215 seats in economy.
