Batik Air joins Lion Air in Singapore


  • Batik Air, the full-service airline from the same team that operates Lion Air, launched double-daily flights on 14 August between Jakarta (CGK) and Singapore (SIN) using its 737-900s. The 880-kilometre route is already served by Garuda Indonesia (73 weekly flights), Singapore Airlines (63), Lion Air (49), Indonesia AirAsia (28), Jetstar Asia (24) and Tigerair Singapore (21). Batik Air has grown rapidly in the last couple of years and now has a fleet of 29 aircraft according to, six 737-900s, 13 737-800s and 10 A320s. All of the A320s and 12 of the 737-800s have joined the airline’s register within the last 12 months.
