Beginning on 21 August, Jetstar Pacific Airlines launched a twice-weekly service from Haiphong in the north of Vietnam to Macau. The 724-kilometre sector will be operated on Mondays and Fridays.
- Jetstar Pacific Airlines has launched a twice-weekly service from Haiphong (HPH) in the north of Vietnam to Macau (MFM). Beginning on 21 August, the 724-kilometre sector from the country’s third largest city (after Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City), will be operated by the LCC’s 180-seat A320s on Mondays and Fridays. Commenting on the launch, Eric Fong, Director of the Marketing Department at Macau Airport said: “This year, the airport has successfully introduced new routes and airlines providing flight service to Macau, we will continue to maintain close cooperation with the airlines aiming to expand their air services network.” Jetstar Pacific currently operates double-daily flights from Macau to Danang, and plans to launch Ho Chi Minh and Nha Trang services in September and October respectively. The Haiphong to Macau route has no incumbent airlines.
