Spirit Airlines sprouts routes from Atlanta

On stand D7 at Southwest Florida Airport on 10 September is Spirit Airlines’ new daily service from Atlanta. The 829-kilometre sector will be operated by the carrier’s A319s in direct competition with Delta Air Lines and Southwest Airlines.

  • Spirit Airlines commenced two new routes from Atlanta (ATL) on 10 September to Boston (BOS) and Southwest Florida (RSW). Both sectors will be operated daily using the carrier’s A319s. The 1,519-kilometre sector to Boston will face direct competition in the form of Delta Air Lines (74 weekly flights) and Southwest Airlines (14). The 829-kilometre sector to the Floridian airport will also face competition from the same carriers, Delta (51) and Southwest (14), according to OAG Schedules Analyser data.
